Words have power

Over the last few years, I have become an extremely introverted person, when it comes to my dialogue with other people. I am careful with the words that leave my mouth and I am even more careful about the  words that I allow to enter my ears. I am intentional about who I share my thoughts with, and I have found this to yield such great results in my professional and personal growth. I have actively utilized my spirit of discernment which has often allowed me to observe such ugly in this world; how evil has caused people to be blind sided and to speak darkness into others. Proverbs 18:21, death and life lies in the power of the tongue. The Scripture said this then, and it's absolutely present today. We have to be careful who we allow into our inner circles, and who we share our dreams, successes, happiness, and even sadness with. Not everyone will be for you in this life. The important thing is to recognize those who are and cherish them.

Happy Wednesday!

Refocus Your Vision

I am so excited about my upcoming seminar in April, entitled Refocus Your Vision. Back in October of 2017, during my prayer time, I was led to this idea . I had no clue who my speakers would be at that time, but the title was very clear to me. I knew that the target audience for this seminar had to be women. It had to touch upon areas that many women struggle with on a daily basis. Many women are walking around as if everything is okay with them, when in actuality, they are hurting internally. They don't see their potential, and they can not move forward. You see, when your vision is clouded, you are limited in your ability to reach the next level. Sure, you may be able to take baby steps, but you will never maximize your full potential. My goal for this seminar is to empower women to stop allowing people, things, and feelings to get in their way. The best way that I can describe refocusing your vision is the example of wiping the lens of your eye/sun glasses clean. Sure your...

What are you waiting for - Live your life now????

If you look around at the unhappy people that you know, do you see them enjoying their lives, NO!!! They are not enjoying their lives because they have chosen misery over happiness. They choose defeat over joy! They choose drama over being content. God has certainly given us free will, and we can choose to live our lives fully, partially, or not at all. One of the ways that I choose to live my life, is by looking straight ahead instead of over my shoulder at someone else's life with resentment for things I have not done or achieved. Whatever plans God has placed on your life is unique and created just for you. What you should not do is compare your life to anyone else, or feel hopeless because you are not doing the things that you want. Most recently I made my way to my DREAM city- PARIS. I had been planning a trip to Paris for almost 5 years , but it was never the right time to leave. Finally the right time presented itself, and I was on the plane heading to my dream de...

Determine your purpose

I took this photo on our honeymoon in Bellagio, Italy- overlooking the Swiss Alps Good morning and what a beautiful Thursday it is! I've written about purpose in the past, but it occurred to me that I need to speak about this topic again. Too many individuals are walking around and not living out their purpose. I completely understand that financial reasons often prevent individuals from not pursuing what makes them happy. Yet, I don't find this to be a good excuse to not live your dreams. From the bottom of my heart, I believe that God gives each of us special abilities/gifts that are unique to just us, and that none of our gifts are the same. However, one can not and should not be lazy with cultivating their gifts. You have to work hard in every way to nurture your gifts (just like watering a plant), and eventually it will come to life. I'll give you a personal example. I always knew that I wanted to be self employed. Since I was a little girl, I remember...
